Rain Water Harvesting

About Rain Water Harvesting (RWH)

Save Water, Save Earth

Save Water, Save Earth About Rain Water Harvesting (RWH) Why should we switch to Rainwater Harvesting?

Rain water harvesting is collection and storage of rain water that runs off from roof tops, parks, roads, open grounds, etc. This water run off can be either stored or recharged into the ground water.

India faces a turbulent water future. Unless current inefficient water management practices are changed, India will face a severe water crisis in coming decades. It will not have adequate self funding to build new infrastructure nor will the sufficient water be available for its growing Economy and rising population (As per World Bank Report 2006). Rain water harwesting is an effective method of dealing with the water crisis that inevitably occurring in several countries of the world. As the world population is increasing, there has been an exponential rise in the demand for water.

Scope of the work

  • Identification of hydrogeologically potential zone for few water extraction structure like bore wells and dug wells.
  • Design of Artificial Recharge Structure like Percolation ponds, Recharge Wells, percolation Pits, etc.
  • Detailed Geophysical study in the form of Vertical Electrical Soundings to study the variation in the subsurface formation and to delineate favourable zones for Artificial Recharge Structures.
  • ntroduction of Roof water harvesting systems for individual and multi storied buildings.
  • Identifying areas for Check dams, barriers, gully plugs percolation pond &Subsurface Dykes.

Modular Rainwater Harvesting

Proud to be India’s First in Modular Rainwater Harvesting

At We Centre for Ground Water Recharge, we are India’s first company to promoteModular Rainwater Harvesting as an innovative, space-efficient, and sustainable solution for augmenting groundwater resources, especially in urban and industrial areas. This system utilizes prefabricated, interlocking modular units that are easy to install, scalable, and adaptable to site-specific needs—making them ideal for buildings with limited space. Rainwater collected from rooftops or paved areas is conveyed through a filtration system into these modular structures, which can either store the water for reuse or direct it into recharge pits to replenish groundwater aquifers. By integrating modern design with traditional water wisdom, we aim to make every drop count and support long-term water security through effective decentralized recharge solutions.

V-Wire Screen technology

Our company integrates V-Wire Screens and other state-of-the-art technologies to enhance the efficiency of these recharge methods. V-Wire Screens improve filtration and prevent clogging, ensuring smooth water percolation and extended system longevity. Additionally, we leverage advanced techniques such as subsurface recharge wells, infiltration galleries, and modular rainwater harvesting units, optimizing water conservation strategies to suit industrial, commercial, and institutional applications.

With a focus on sustainable water management, our rainwater harvesting solutions not only help industries reduce dependence on external water sources but also contribute to groundwater restoration, ensuring environmental balance and compliance with regulatory standards.

Advantage

  • Raises ground water levels. Improves availability of water in wells/tubewells during lean period.
  • Improves quality of existing ground water through dilution.
  • Saves energy in lifting of ground water one meter rise in water level saves about 0.40 KWH of electricity.
